Requests from museums and similar institutions for exhibitions that fit thematically are always welcome.
Living history is the representation of historical environments by people whose clothing, equipment and objects of daily use correspond as realistically as possible in material and style to the period depicted.
Founded with the aim of depicting a small part of the teutonic order from Luxembourg in the period 1222-1242 AD, i.e. to represent the medieval life and everyday life of the Order.
Our idea of the Comthurey Luccellenburg is not that of an association or a club, but some of us pursue the representation as history-loving individuals. The Comthurey Luccellenburg therefore has only indirectly to do with the history of St. Quirinus, but fits together wonderfully as a fitting piece of the puzzle to the history of the Teutonic Order and the St. Quirinus Chapel.
We also want to distance ourselves from the actual Teutonic Order, which still exists today, as we do not carry out any charitable work, but are only interested in the medieval presentation of this subject. It is therefore self-evident that our community cannot be a sociability club, a carnival or theatre group, even if some ceremonies seem theatrical.
We are guided by excavation finds, surviving texts and manuscripts of the time, as well as by scholarly works and specialist literature. Our aim is not only to be historically correct, but also to take an in-depth look at the historical context of our presentation. In order to live up to this claim, we are continuously improving our equipment.
